About Us
Von Hagen Homes, Inc is a family owned and operated company in Fairfield, made up of father and son third and fourth generation builders. Established in 1984, Von Hagen Homes, Inc prides itself in providing the highest quality work on both residential and commercial levels throughout the Cincinnati and Dayton areas. Our Company offers a design for every lifestyle. Whether you are buying your first home, planning to downsize, looking to move up to a luxury home, or needing office warehouse space for your own business, Von Hagen Homes, Inc is there to help you along the way.
Customization is the most unique facet to our company. Every plan is designed from the ground up with your needs in mind. No project is too big or too small. With a strong engineering background, your ideas are brought to fruition. Unlike other companies, our builders work exclusively with you from start to finish, while finding ways to be the most cost effective and energy efficient. They are the salesmen, the draftsmen, the foremen and even the laborers! Extreme attention to detail and open communication put us above the rest.
The majority of our business comes from word-of-mouth referrals from our existing clients. Customer satisfaction is a goal we meet with every customer. We invite you to view our work, talk to our clients, and compare our prices with the job at hand. Von Hagen Homes Inc hopes to “build” a relationship with you and your family for years to come.
Mark Von Hagen Sr.
Mark was raised a son and grandson of Union carpenters. At an early age, he was exposed to the proper fundamentals of building. Mark attended Defiance College and the University of Cincinnati. After his schooling, Mark worked as a Production Supervisor and Manager of Crest Communities and then Ryland Homes. He was responsible for overseeing the building and closing up to 100 homes per year. Streamlining all phases of construction, Mark was a leader in efficiency. He served as Production Manager of the Ryland’s entire Midwest Region. During that time, Mark implemented Supervisor Training Programs, and he was Chairman of the Building and Zoning Committee for the Home Builders Association.

In 1983, Mark left Ryland to persue the challenge of operating his own business, where he was now able to design and engineer 85% of the company’s work. Since going incorporated in 1987, Mark and his team have successfully erected solid, high quality homes, warehouses and churches.

These days, Mark is retired, but remains a strong asset to VonHagen Homes, Inc by consulting on most major projects.
Mark Von Hagen Jr.
Mark graduated from Stephen T. Badin High School in 1998, and from The Ohio State University in 2002. Mark had humble beginnings. Early on, he spent high school summers and weekends performing any “grunt work” job available. Whether digging a ditch, climbing a roof, framing or pouring concrete, Mark was no stranger to hard work. During college summers, he was given increased responsibility with advanced trim carpentry and other project management. Mark was compelled to achieve nothing but the best. Held to a high standard, he has a strong work ethic and impeccable attention to detail.
To further his education after graduation, in 2002, Mark took a job building on a larger production scale with Drees Homes. While soaking up knowledge, he was quickly promoted to a Project Builder. In five short years, Mark was directly responsible for the construction of roughly 250 homes. Mark learned more than any professor could teach. He was named Drees’ 2007 North Division Builder of the Year.

In late 2007, Mark took his Drees experience and re-joined VonHagen Homes, Inc and in 2008, took the seat as president of the company. Mark has proven to be cost-effective, and he is a competitive leader in the industry. Mark and his wife, Jess, live in Fairfield with their two children. He can often be seen out on job sites with son and protégé, Sam.
